Teacher of Science (KS3 & KS4) | Alternative Provision Location: London Salary: MPS/UPS + Excellent Benefits Contract: Full Time | Permanent Are you a passionate Science teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected alternative provision within a nationally recognised education trust. This specialist setting supports young people who may have experienced barriers to learning, social, emotional and mental health challenges, disrupted educational journeys or exclusion from mainstream education. This is a unique opportunity to teach Science within a nurturing and supportive environment where relationships, engagement and student success are at the heart of everything. The Role As a Teacher of Science, you will deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop both academic confidence and a renewed belief in their own potential. Working within small class sizes, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with learners and tailor your teaching to individual needs, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4. • Plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons. • Support students with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs. • Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment. • Build strong relationships that encourage engagement and progress. • Monitor student achievement and contribute to individual learning plans. • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, families and external agencies. • Promote high expectations, resilience and aspiration. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a teacher who: • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4. • Is passionate about inclusive education. • Can engage students who may have become disengaged from learning. • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. • Has a resilient, empathetic and solution-focused approach. • Believes every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed.
