Job Description

Science Technician (Long-term, ASAP start)

Coventry / West Midlands

Full-time

Approximately £100-£130 per day for full-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

  * 

    Ensure safe storage, maintenance and handling of equipment and chemicals (COSHH, H&S)

  * 

    Support teachers and students during practical sessions in the laboratory/prep room

  * 

    Maintain a clean, organised and safe laboratory/ prep area Person Specification / Requirements

  * 

    Previous experience as a Science Technician in a school or laboratory environment preferred.

  * 

    Strong understanding of science equipment, laboratory safety procedures and practical setups.

  * 

    Science qualification (A-Level or higher) desirable.

  * 

    Excellent organisation, communication and teamwork skills.

  * 

    Ability to work effectively under supervision and on one’s own initiative.

  * 

    Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check and comply with safeguarding requirements.
