GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated Secondary SEMH Teacher to work in a specialist provision in the High Peak area.g SEMH TA is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience teaching a range of subjects including Maths, Food, PSHE, Duke of Edinburgh, or Science, who is confident in managing behaviour and adapting learning to suit individual needs.
As a Secondary SEMH Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging lessons across a flexible curriculum tailored to SEMH learners.
Supporting students with varied and complex emotional and behavioural needs.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ educational and pastoral development.
Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes self-esteem and progress.
Taking part in enrichment activities and off-site visits.
Requirements for Secondary SEMH Teacher:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
Subject knowledge in at least one of the following: Maths, Food Technology, PSHE, Science, or similar.
Experience in SEMH or alternative provisions is highly desirable.
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence with Business Insurance, as travel and community-based learning may be required.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
