Are you a versatile and passionate educator ready to make a lasting difference for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in the High Peak area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience teaching subjects such as Maths, Food Technology, PSHE, Duke of Edinburgh, or Science, who is confident in behaviour management and tailoring learning to meet individual student needs.
As a Secondary SEMH Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver stimulating lessons within a flexible curriculum designed for SEMH students.
Provide support to pupils facing diverse and complex emotional and behavioural challenges.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to aid both the academic and pastoral growth of students.
Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters confidence and development.
Engage in enrichment programs and accompany students on off-site visits.
Requirements for Secondary SEMH Teacher:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
Subject knowledge in at least one of the following: Maths, Food Technology, PSHE, Science, or similar.
Experience in SEMH or alternative provisions is highly desirable.
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence with Business Insurance, as travel and community-based learning may be required.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
