Job Description
We're seeking experienced SIA Licensed Security Officers for Night Shifts on behalf of our client, a leading operator of a busy warehouse facility in Bristol. This role requires an active SIA licence – applications without one will not be considered.
Night time hours: 16.00 - 04.00
The Role
This position is based in the reception of a warehouse building and combines front-of-house responsibilities with active security duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining site safety through regular patrols, monitoring CCTV, and controlling access and exit to the premises. You will also support the client with daily site security tasks and contractor management.
The role requires someone who is computer literate, professional in their approach, and confident in dealing with visitors, contractors, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities

Security officer - Night shift
*
Acting as the first point of contact in reception, greeting staff, contractors, and visitors professionally
*
Conducting regular internal and external patrols of the warehouse site throughout each shift
*
Monitoring and operating CCTV systems, responding to incidents or suspicious activity
*
Managing access and exit, ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles enter or leave the premises
*
Supporting client management with contractor control, including sign-in/out procedures
*
Completing clear and accurate reports, shift logs, and daily records using IT systems
*
Providing a visible, proactive, and professional security presence at all times
*
Responding effectively to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches
Candidate Requirements
*
Valid and active SIA licence (essential – applications without will not be accepted)
*
Previous experience in a security role, ideally within a warehouse or commercial site environment
*
Demonstrable experience in CCTV monitoring and reporting
*
Excellent communication skills, with fluent spoken and written English
*
Professional, personable, and well-presented at all times
*
Computer literate, with the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital reporting systems
*
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures consistently
*
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work shift patterns potentially as needed
*
Must have the right to work in the UK
