Teaching Assistant & SEN Teaching Assistant – Norwich Flexible Supply Opportunities | Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available Supply Bank is currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TA) and SEN Teaching Assistants (SEN TA) to work across a variety of primary, secondary, and specialist schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas. Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, have a background supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), or are looking to gain valuable experience within education, we would love to hear from you. We offer flexible opportunities ranging from ad hoc daily supply work to long-term and permanent placements, allowing you to choose work that fits your schedule and career goals. Role Details Position: Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Norwich and surrounding areas Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities available Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only (typically 8:30am – 3:30pm) Contract Type: Flexible supply, short-term, long-term, full-time and part-time positions Pay: Competitive rates dependent on experience and role Key Responsibilities Teaching Assistant (TA) Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning. Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities. Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons. Help pupils build confidence and achieve their academic potential. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, learning difficulties, and communication needs. Implement individual learning and behaviour support plans. Assist pupils with emotional regulation, social development, and engagement in learning. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student progress. Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment. About the Schools We work with a range of educational settings across Norwich, including mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist provisions, alternative provisions, and pupil referral units (PRUs). Some roles involve supporting pupils who may have additional learning, behavioural, emotional, or medical needs. Many of our supply opportunities can lead to longer-term placements for candidates seeking greater consistency and career progression. We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have experience working with children or young people in educational, care, coaching, youth work, or support settings. Are patient, positive, and adaptable. Have strong communication and teamwork skills. Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development. Have experience supporting SEN pupils (desirable but not essential for all roles).
