SEN Teacher – Special Educational Needs
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6
Salary: £32,916 (M1) – £51,048 (U3) + SEN 1 Allowance
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Maternity Cover
Start Date: ASAP or September
We are working in partnership with a well-established specialist SEN school in Maidenhead to recruit a qualified SEN Teacher. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment for pupils with a range of complex learning needs and places a strong emphasis on personalised learning, emotional wellbeing, and independence.

The Role
Teaching pupils with ASD, MLD, SLD, and associated needs
Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual abilities
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
Implementing and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
Creating a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environmentRequirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, ideally within a special school or SEN provision
Strong understanding of adaptive and differentiated teaching strategies
Patient, resilient, and reflective teaching approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
