GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Dinnington. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning in a way that suits their individual needs and abilities.
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a key role in providing consistent, tailored support that enables pupils to feel confident, included, and ready to learn.
Key Duties of SEN TA:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
Adapt support to meet individual learning and communication needs
Work closely with class teachers to deliver personalised learning strategies
Support pupils in developing independence and classroom engagement
Assist with behaviour support and emotional regulation where required
Monitor and feedback on pupil progress and wellbeing
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Calm, patient, and supportive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to adapt to different learning needs and environments
Commitment to supporting pupil development and inclusion
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
