Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Staff - Various School Settings
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a range of specialist schools that support children and young people with complex learning needs. We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and skilled individuals to join our pool of SEN support professionals.
Who We're Looking For:
We welcome candidates who have experience in:
SEND / SEN schools, specialist provisions, or alternative settings
Care environments, residential care, or youth support roles
You must be confident and experienced in supporting children with a range of additional needs and be able to adapt to varied and dynamic classroom environments.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Candidates should have hands-on experience with:
Visual aids and communication tools (e.g., PECs, visual timetables, Makaton desirable)
Moving & handling procedures
Personal care duties
Tracheostomy care (training/experience essential or desirable depending on placement)
Medication administration
PEG feeding
The Role:
You will work alongside teachers and therapists to support pupils with complex needs, including physical disabilities, communication challenges, sensory needs, and severe learning difficulties. Your role will involve classroom support, 1:1 work, delivering structured interventions, and ensuring pupils' safety and well-being.
