SEN Teaching Assistant ✨

Location: Torbay and surrounding areas.
 Hours: Flexible working, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
 Salary: £90-95
 Age Range: 11–19 years

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive environment for learners with ASD, supporting them to reach their full academic and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for learners with ASD
Assist the class teacher by delivering adapted lesson support tailored to individual needs and learning styles
Encourage pupils to remain engaged, motivated, and confident throughout lessons
Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
Be available for flexible, on-the-day cover when required
What We’re Looking For

Experience working within SEN settings (ASD experience desirable)
Flexible and reliable work availability
A compassionate, positive, and proactive personality – someone who takes initiative and supports the team without prompting
Ability to adapt to changing behaviour and remain calm under pressure
Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow teacher guidance
A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Hold a valid UK driving licence
