We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Braintree, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. This Braintree school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student is supported to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
Job Overview:
This school caters for students aged 11-16.
Full-time, Monday - Friday SEN Teaching Assistant role.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs.
Support students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support strategies.
Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage student confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing across the school day.
Assist with classroom preparation and differentiated learning activities.

What we're looking for:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
A patient, empathetic and supportive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A proactive and flexible attitude.
Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
