We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of our students, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans
Assist in the development and implementation of sensory programs, behavioural strategies, and other interventions as required
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, promoting the social and emotional development of students
Support the integration of students with SEN into mainstream activities and facilitate their participation in all aspects of school life
Requirements:
Relevant experience working with children or young people with special educational needs or desire to learn
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of individuals with diverse needs
A commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (Desired but not essential)
Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs would be advantageous
