SEN Teaching Assistant – PMLD School (North Kent) Location: North Kent
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role: We are recruiting for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist PMLD school in North Kent. You’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting children with complex learning and physical needs in a caring, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with profound learning needs.
Support personal care, feeding, and mobility as required.
Help implement EHCP targets and therapy plans.
Encourage communication and sensory engagement.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent care.Requirements:
Previous experience working with PMLD or complex SEN.
Nurturing and patient personality.
Confident supporting with personal and physical care.
Knowledge of Makaton, PECs, or sensory integration (desirable).
