As SENCO, you will play a central role in leading SEND provision across the school, ensuring that students with additional needs receive the highest-quality support and intervention.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic leadership of SEND provision across the school
Coordination and implementation of EHCPs, interventions, and support plans
Line management of Teaching Assistants and support staff
Working closely with teachers to ensure high-quality, inclusive classroom practice
Managing relationships with external agencies, families, and professionals
Monitoring and reporting on SEND progress, provision, and compliance
Contributing to whole-school policies and improvement planning
👤 About You
We are looking for a SENCO who is:
A qualified teacher (QTS essential)
Holding, or working toward, the National SENCO Award
Experienced in working with students with a range of SEND needs
Knowledgeable about the SEND Code of Practice and current best practice
An effective communicator and team leader
Compassionate, solution-focused, and committed to inclusion
