Senior / Semi Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice
Eastwood, Nottinghamshire
C£30 - 40K
TurnerFox Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant on behalf of a well-established and friendly accountancy practice based in Eastwood.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive firm with a strong local reputation, offering a varied role within a close-knit team environment.
The successful candidate may be fully qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience, but must have solid practice experience including accounts preparation and tax work.
The Role of Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice
You'll take ownership of a mixed portfolio and produce high‑quality work for partner review. Typical duties include:
Duties will include:
* Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
* Corporation Tax and Personal Tax calculations linked to draft accounts
* Preparing accounts for Partner review
* Capital Gains Tax calculations
* Liaising directly with clients to finalise accounts and resolve queries
* Preparation of Management Accounts when required
* General ad hoc accountancy and taxation work
Candidate Requirements for Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice
To be considered, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience within an Accountancy Practice
* Experience preparing accounts through to Partner review stage
* Strong knowledge of Corporation Tax and Individual Tax
* Experience completing associated tax calculations
* Good communication and client-facing skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of IRIS software would be advantageous but not essential
* Flexibility to attend client premises when required
* CIMA / ACCA / ACA / AAT and qualified by experience also considered.
