About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control Engineer / Control Engineer with experience in the Electrical Power Transmission & Distribution industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in consolidating and enhancing the Nation’s electricity network for a smarter, more sustainable future.
Based in South Tyneside, you will take a lead control engineer role, overseeing and delivering contracts using Siemens control systems, ensuring the ongoing sustainability of our client’s industry customers.
Key Responsibilities
As our Senior Control Engineer, you will:
Technically lead industry control solutions and support the development of new colleagues.
Produce and check functional design specifications.
Develop and design control systems solutions.
Oversee and deliver customer factory and site testing activities.
Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications on allocated projects.
Provide technical recommendations for pre-sales activities.
Offer technical support on allocated projects.
Attend internal and external design reviews, providing technical guidance.Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience within a control/automation background.
Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry.Desirable
Experience developing medium to large-scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems, and communication infrastructure.
Strong understanding of circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings for control and protection systems.
Motivation to technically lead projects and mentor junior engineers.Benefits
