Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support a young building services consultancy that’s fast establishing a strong reputation for providing clients with technically robust engineering solutions and a pragmatic approach.

With a growing portfolio, covering projects across Kent and the South East, this is an excellent opportunity for a contractor with strong technical design capabilities and experience delivering electrical building services solutions from concept through to detailed design, who’s looking for more variety, influence, and responsibility on a project.

Key Responsibilities

  * Produce electrical building services designs for a range of building types working across a broad range of sectors; commercial, retail, educational, healthcare etc.

  * Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and technical documentation.

  * Design systems including:

      * LV power distribution

      * Lighting and emergency lighting

      * Fire alarm systems

      * Data and communications

      * Security systems

      * Small power and containment

  * Coordinate with Liaisons for progress and coordination purposes with mechanical engineers, architects, and wider project team.

  * Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standards
