Senior Health Care Assistant
Location: Northumberland
Hours: Full Time – Days or Nights
Pay Rate: £12.95 – £14.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team, providing high standards of care across various healthcare settings in Northumberland.
About the Role:
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant with Pin Point Health and Social Care, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' wellbeing through compassionate care, medication administration, and leadership within your team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering exceptional, person-centred care in line with individual care plans
* Administering medication and maintaining accurate records
* Acting as a key worker for a designated group of residents
* Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
* Communicating effectively with residents, families, and care teams
* Maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of all service users
* Assisting with domestic duties as required
* Demonstrating a professional, flexible, and caring approach in every assignment
* Liaising regularly with Home Managers and care staff to ensure continuity of care
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Essential)
* Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant within a care home (Essential)
* A transferable DBS certificate is desirable (not essential)
* Ability to manage medication and care planning responsibilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, calm under pressure, and adaptable to different environments
* Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high standards of care
* Access to personal transport is desirable but not required
* Willingness to work across multiple care settings depending on client needs
