Senior Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (High-Spec Residential)
Haslemere | Up to £85,000 + Excellent Package
Are you a commercially sharp Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of high-end residential projects with a well-respected main contractor? This is an opportunity to join a growing, design-led business delivering luxury new-build and refurbishment schemes across Surrey and the South East.
The Role
As Senior QS, you will take full commercial responsibility for 1–2 live projects, typically £3m–£15m in value, ensuring delivery to budget while maintaining the uncompromising quality the brand is known for. You’ll work closely with the Project Lead and Directors to manage procurement, cost planning, subcontractor packages, valuations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial function on high-spec residential projects
*
Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities and tender documents
*
Manage procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages
*
Carry out monthly valuations, CVRs, forecasting and risk management
*
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain
*
Ensure robust cost control from pre-construction through to handover
About You
*
Experienced Senior QS or strong QS ready to step up
*
Background with a main contractor, ideally on high-end resi or complex builds
*
Strong technical understanding, attention to detail and commercial acumen
*
Confident communicator, able to challenge and lead commercially
*
Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
