Job Description

Our client is a specialist leader within the façade construction industry, recognised for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining an outstanding reputation for company culture, staff retention, and professional development. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Birmingham-based team.

The Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the commercial management of major façade projects across Birmingham, with project values exceeding £20m. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business offering long-term career progression and exposure to prestigious developments.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement of labour and materials, including onsite valuations
Preparation of valuations and payment applications
Management of variations and project costs, including full lump sum take-offs
Production of CVRs and commercial reporting
Subcontract administration and commercial management
Providing overall commercial support across façade packagesEducation, Skills & Experience

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects valued at £20m+
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT forms, along with associated commercial management practices
Excellent financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, analyse data, and drive project performance
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and developing junior team members
