Contract: Permanent
Salary: Starting at £36,000 per year + annual bonus

Hours: Days - 7.45am – 3.20pm + early Friday finish (36 hour week)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Set & operate CNC/NC grinders including surface, centerless, cylindrical and jig grinders
* Set & operate NC and manual lathes and mills
* Set & operate EDM and WEDM machinery
* Perform final assembly of new plastic and elastomer injection/compression molds and press tools.
* Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify existing tooling.
* Provide technical support to design teams, contractors, and production staff.
* Comply with all corporate and local site Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and regulations
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, raising questions where needed.
* Act with professionalism and integrity in line with company standards.
* Report and resolve any near miss accidents, incidents or HSE irregularities and prevent future occurrences
* Resolve issues within your area and escalate when necessary through the LDMS process.
* Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
* Required: Formal engineering apprenticeship to NVQ3 level/City and Guilds or equivalent relevant work experience
* Desirable: Higher National Certificate in Engineering Discipline
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Required:
* Extensive experience in plastic injection mould and press tool manufacture
* Strong CNC and conventional toolroom machining experience (mills, lathes, grinders)
* Proficient in precision measurement, modern cutting techniques, and engineering drawing interpretation
* Competent PC user
