A small, independent bakery is seeking a professional, motivated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of the retail and food preparation unit. Along with a salary of up to £15 per hour, you will receive:
A stable and consistent work schedule – 5 days per week, Tuesday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 and Saturday, 09:00-17:00.

This role requires strong leadership, a genuine passion for food and the ability to inspire and support others. You will not only ensure the shop runs smoothly but will also provide clear instruction, guidance, and encouragement to colleagues, helping them to grow and perform at their best.
As Shop Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising daily shop operations, ensuring excellent service and smooth workflow.
Serving customers in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner, consistently delivering excellent customer service.
Preparing, cooking and assembling sandwiches and savoury items to company specifications.
Setting daily baking and production tasks, ensuring staff understand expectations and work is completed to the required standard.
Providing guidance, support and constructive feedback to team members, helping them to develop their skills and maintain high standards.
Fostering a positive, upbeat, and collaborative working environment.
Acting as the key point of contact on-site, ensuring effective communication across the team and with management.
Managing customer interactions, including serving, answering phone calls, and processing orders.
Maintaining accurate records, including the shop diary and order logs.
Ensuring compliance with all food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
Overseeing stock control, including ordering supplies and liaising with suppliers.
Demonstrating a basic knowledge of baking and assist with production when required.
Proactively identifying and addressing operational issues to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
