Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £35,000
I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Waste Chemist to join a leading UK waste management company as a Site Chemist, playing a key role in hazardous waste operations at their Birmingham site.
The Role
As a Site Chemist, you'll be responsible for the assessment, analysis, and processing of incoming waste streams, ensuring full compliance with COSHH and industry regulations. This is a hands-on role, working both indoors and outdoors, and you will be a crucial part of the site's safe and efficient operation.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
Proven waste chemistry experience within hazardous waste, chemical, or environmental operations
BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
Strong understanding of COSHH and relevant waste legislation
Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Excellent attention to detail and a strong team player
