Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background to lead and manage site operations across various locations in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
A key requirement for this position is proven experience working on National Grid sites, with a thorough understanding of the specific demands and standards of such environments. The candidate must hold full NSI 8 accreditation and have a comprehensive knowledge of site safety management, including SMSTS and full First Aid certification. Experience with HSG47 and Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualifications is desirable but not essential.
The role involves managing construction outputs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining robust quality and environmental management systems. The Site Manager will also be responsible for conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensuring all site documentation is accurate and up to date. Flexibility to work in challenging environments and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture are essential.

NSI 8 Full accreditation (mandatory)
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
Full First Aid at Work certification (3-day)
Experience managing National Grid sites (essential)
