Structural Engineer - Liverpool
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team in Liverpool. If you thrive in challenging roles and are ready to step up your career, this could be the ideal opportunity.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out detailed structural design and analysis of steel, concrete and composite structures for medium to high-rise buildings.
Liaise with steelwork fabricators, contractors and architects to ensure connections (steel-to-steel, steel-to-concrete) are designed for buildability and cost-effectiveness.
Produce and review structural calculations, drawings and specifications in line with UK regulations, Eurocodes and relevant standards.
Assist with project delivery ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to BIM coordination and the integration of structural models into multidisciplinary workflows.
Mentor and support less experienced engineers and technicians.
Maintain an awareness of health & safety standards, sustainability and innovation within structural engineering practice.
Essential requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Near Chartered status with either the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), and actively working toward chartership.
Demonstrable experience on high-rise or large-scale building schemes in the UK.
Strong background in steelwork design, including coordination with fabricators.
Proficiency with structural design software (for example: Tekla Structural Designer, IdeaStatica) and good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations.
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
