About the Role: The Education Network is currently recruiting for passionate and reliable Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist and mainstream schools in Bradford. These schools cater for pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and complex communication challenges.
As a Supply SEN TA, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance, encourage engagement, and create a safe, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and activities based on individual education plans (IEPs).
Support pupils with communication, sensory, or behavioural challenges using patience and positive reinforcement.
Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing among learners.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to support each child’s development.
Maintain a calm and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and inclusion.
Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs, where required, while maintaining dignity and respect.Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, care, or community setting experience welcome).
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
Flexibility and resilience to adapt to different school settings.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential.Why Join The Education Network?
