Job Title: Maths Teaching Assistant (Permanent)
 Location: North Somerset
 Start Date: ASAP
 Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
 Contract: Permanent, Full-time

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a lovely Middle School in North Somerset, who are seeking a permanent Maths Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of the school’s Maths department, supporting students across Key Stages 2 and 3 as they develop essential numeracy and problem-solving skills.

You’ll work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, run small group interventions, and provide one-to-one support to help pupils reach their full potential. The school has a nurturing, inclusive ethos and takes great pride in helping every child thrive both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)

Have a strong understanding of Maths up to Key Stage 3 level

Be confident supporting learners with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs

Demonstrate a caring, patient, and proactive approach in and out of the classroom

Be eager to contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with staff
