Teaching Assistant

Year 1

1:1 Autism

Havering

SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to support a brilliant primary school in Havering. They are looking for a teaching assistant to support a girl in year 1 with Autism.

The girl is semi- verbal/has limited speech but this is developing. Therefore, speech and language development will play a large part in this role.

Details:

Immediate start
Full-time
Long-term contract until July 2026
Hornchurch location 

About you:

Previous teaching assistant/school-based experience
Ideally have previous experience with speech and language development
Solid understanding of Autism
Ability to use strategies to encourage interaction and expression
Understanding of sensory needs of children with Autism and how best to support this
Ability to connect with children and form trusting relationships
