Teaching Assistant - Newark-on-Trent
Start Date: 05 January 2026
Location: Newark-on-Trent
Contract: Part-time and long-term roles available
Pay Rate: £82.08 - £96.96 per day (depending on experience and role)
A lovely primary school in the Newark-on-Trent and surrounding area is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team after the Christmas break starting January 2026. We have flexible opportunities available, including part-time and long-term roles, to suit your experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
Work 1:1 or with small groups to provide additional support for pupils
Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
Encourage pupils' confidence, participation, and independence
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Support children with additional learning needs as directed by the class teacher or SENCOThe Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred)
Patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
