Teaching Assistant - PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Specialist - Northampton

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with several outstanding special schools across Northampton that are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who thrive on helping children with complex needs achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities:

Support pupils with PMLD across a range of learning and sensory activities.

Work closely with the class teacher and therapy teams to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.

Use specialist resources and assistive technology to enhance communication and engagement.

Assist with physical care needs, including feeding and mobility support.

Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

Previous experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex SEN needs.

Calm, patient, and empathetic nature.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine desire to make a difference in children's lives.

Ability to work full-time, term-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30).
