The School: Our partner school is an inclusive SEN school dedicated to supporting children with a range of learning needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with individual learning plans (EHCPs) in small groups or one-to-one.
* Assist the class teacher in creating engaging and accessible learning activities.
* Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing in pupils.
* Manage and support behaviour positively and calmly.
* Contribute to the wider school community, including supporting enrichment and sensory activities.
Requirements
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN / additional needs (school or care setting).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
* A Safeguarding Certificate (or willing to complete a course via us to obtain one)
* (Desirable) Experience with PECS, Makaton, or Team Teach training.
