Central Recruitment is working with an organisation that provides supported housing and living services to vulnerable adults suffering from mental health conditions and homelessness.
Our client is currently recruiting for two Team Leaders to work in the Lewisham area. One role is based within a 79-bed service supporting individuals with mental health needs, while the other is within an 80-bed service supporting individuals with complex and multiple needs, including mental health challenges and substance misuse.
* 45 hours per week
* Working across Monday - Sunday, with a requirement to work every other weekend
* Shifts: 08:00 - 18:00
* Temporary: approx. 3 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent
* £18.44 per hour (£16.45 per hour, with £1.99 holiday pay)

Key responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the service and provide leadership to the staff team
* Ensure staff receive appropriate training, supervision, guidance, and support to perform their roles effectively
* Maintain effective communication with internal teams, families, and external stakeholders
* Ensure safe staffing levels and appropriate management cover across the service
* Manage petty cash in line with company policies
* Oversee support delivery, ensuring residents' needs are met and independence is promoted
* Manage systems relating to residents' personal finances and expenses
* Prepare reports for reviews, case conferences, CPA meetings, and court proceedings as required
* Liaise with healthcare professionals and partner agencies to support residents' health and wellbeing
* Support recruitment activities and staff development in line with organisational procedures
* Monitor and manage service budgets effectively
* Ensure complaints are handled promptly, recorded accurately, and managed in line with policy
What we’re looking for:
* Experience providing support to a team of staff
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and the reporting process required
* Experience of service delivery and support
* Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions
* Experience compiling comprehensive assessments and SMART action plans
* IT skills necessary to compile correspondence and reports
Further requirements:
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
