Job Description

Care Through The Millennium are a well-established private residential care and supported living provider who offer support to vulnerable adults, we offer our employees comprehensive training programmes and excellent development opportunities in a caring and supportive environment. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our dedicated team supporting vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs in Kings Norton, South Birmingham. The successful Team Leader will assist the Management Team in the day to day running of the home, assuming a level of responsibility as designated and offering support to the staff team. Responsibilities * Assist the Management team in the day-to-day running of the home * Delegate duties appropriately to ensure the smooth running of the home * Supervise and develop the staff team to ensure high-quality support delivery * Promote meaningful and fulfilling lives for service users within the community * Review and update care plans and risk assessments * Act as a keyworker for designated service users * Participate in meetings with professionals, families, and other stakeholders Hours: 42-hour week on a flexible shift system to include weekends as required. Skills and attributes * Previous experience working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and challenging behaviour * Strong communication and leadership skills developed in a similar care setting * Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations * Comfortable with lone working and able to make sound decisions independently * Self-motivated and self-disciplined * Able to work independently while maintaining high professional standards * Strong sense of responsibility and reliability Applicants must have achieved the Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care, or an equivalent care qualification.
