Technical Author - Automotive
My client, a leading automotive company is looking for an experienced Technical Author to join their team. This role focuses on producing high-quality, visually engaging documentation for automotive parts, with a particular emphasis on creating parts catalogues for suppliers.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Write, edit, and manage technical documentation and parts catalogues
Use existing systems and software tools to produce technical content (minimal training provided)
Interpret technical diagrams, part numbers, and specifications to create accurate documentation
Arrange and format content using images, text, and visual tools to aid understanding
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy and clarity✅ Essential Skills:
Qualification in English, Technical Communication, or a related field
Excellent content writing and editing skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Solid understanding of automotive parts and systems
Ability to work with minimal supervision and pick up new systems quickly💡 Desirable Tools & Experience:
Catia Composer or ISO Draw
Adobe Illustrator
Experience with EPIS
