Salary: £70,000

This role is based in Durham Office however with an expectation of travel to other offices and sites.
Key Responsibilities:
As Technical Manager, you’ll be a critical technical lead supporting projects from early-stage feasibility through to construction. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams and external partners to ensure all technical matters are managed effectively and that the engineering aspects of projects align with commercial goals.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting business development by providing technical input during early site assessment and design.

Contributing to project reviews and advising on design feasibility, risks, and opportunities.
*
Overseeing external consultants to deliver specialised technical insights.
*
Managing the design process to maximise value and secure necessary approvals.
*
Supporting public engagement and consultation activities with clear, informed technical input.
*
Guiding the resolution of technical issues through to financial close and construction.
*
Providing mentorship within the technical team and representing the company at industry events.
Skills & Experience Required:
*
A degree in civil, structural, geotechnical or related discipline and Chartered Engineer status.
* Background in civil engineering or wind farm engineering
*
Solid experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
*
Strong understanding of design and build contracts (e.g., NEC), CDM regulations, and stakeholder engagement.
*
Proven ability to manage technical risk, influence design decisions, and produce cost-effective engineering solutions.
*
Confidence in navigating the demands of complex projects and leading technical aspects through every stage.
