📍 Remote (occasional travel to Manchester)
 💰 £500-£600 per day - inside IR35
 📅 3-month initial contract

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Test Strategy Consultant to support a transformation programme by defining a consistent and scalable approach to testing across multiple services.

This role is purely strategic and advisory - focused on assessing current practices, identifying gaps, and recommending a clear path forward. You won't be expected to execute testing or build automation frameworks.

What You'll Be Doing

Assess the current testing landscape across services and platforms
Conduct test maturity and capability assessments
Identify gaps, risks, and inconsistencies in existing approaches
Define a target testing strategy and operating model
Develop standardised frameworks, governance, and best practices
Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve quality and consistency
Engage with senior stakeholders to align on strategy and direction

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in test strategy / test architecture / consulting roles
Strong track record of defining enterprise-level testing approaches
Experience delivering test maturity assessments and gap analysis
Ability to operate at a strategic, organisation-wide level
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Comfortable working in a non-hands-on, advisory capacity
