Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic Textile Operator to join our local client in East Ayrshire on a permanent basis. We are looking for you to have experience using industrial sewing machines and a keen eye for detail. You'll play a key role in creating high-quality soft furnishings for retail customers, working on beautifully crafted products such as cushions and curtains.
What you'll do:
Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
Stitch a variety of fabric bases to exact specifications
Carry out quality checks and maintain high standards throughout production
Read and follow production paperwork accurately
Support across different areas including cutting, sewing, inspection, and packing
Keep your work area clean and organised
Perform basic sewing machine maintenance (changing needles, cleaning, threading)What we're looking for:
Ideally 2+ years' experience in a cut-and-sew production environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work with a range of industrial sewing machines
Knowledge of soft furnishing assembly
Positive, can-do attitude and team spirit
Good organisational and problem-solving skills
