Town Planner – Hertfordshire – £49.47 an hour (umbrella)

 A Hertfordshire Local Authority is seeking an experienced Town Planner to join their Development Control team on an interim basis.

 You’ll manage and process a range of planning applications across the borough, initially focusing on less complex cases, while supporting the preparation of reports for planning committees and appeals.

 Key Responsibilities:

Assess and manage planning applications and related submissions.
Prepare reports and recommendations for planning committees and appeals.
Provide professional planning advice to applicants, councillors, and the public.
Ensure compliance with planning policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements:

Qualified Town Planner.
Proven experience within a local authority development management team.
Strong report-writing, communication, and organisational skills
