Trainee Boiler Engineer | Keighley | 37.5 hours per week | Occasional overtime is available | £13-£15 per hour
Our client is the UK’s leading hirer of mobile industrial steam and hot water boilers. The company hires boilers to many market sectors, including food and drinks manufacturers, hospitals, pharma and petrochemical companies.
Based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, the company has enjoyed steady growth for many years, and it is because of expansion that they have the following vacancy.
Are you the right person for the job?
A mechanical aptitude is essential; previous experience would be beneficial
Candidates with a full and current clean driving licence will be favoured
Punctual, reliable and hard-working
Ability to work as part of a small team
Ability to legibly complete paperwork such as weekly time sheets
Eligible to work in the UK
Some electrical knowledge would be advantageous, though certainly not a prerequisite
What will your role as a Boiler Engineer look like?
Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the role is ‘hands-on’ working mainly within the fleet of Hire Boiler Trailers, this may include:
Inspecting and repairing Hire Boilers on their return from hire term contracts
Preparing Hire Boilers for Inspections by outside Accredited Inspection Bodies
Infrequent UK travel (using company vehicles) to clients’ sites
Adhering to the Company’s H&S, Safe Working Practices and Procedures
Carrying out other roles or tasks commensurate with the spirit of the job
