Trainee Electrical Estimator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Electrical Estimator to join a busy estimating team. This role offers hands-on experience and full training for someone looking to develop their career within the M&E sector.
About the Role:
You will work alongside experienced estimators, learning how to interpret technical designs, prepare costings, and compile tender documentation. A practical understanding of construction projects will be an advantage, helping you appreciate the full project lifecycle – from installation and commissioning to maintenance across various sectors.
Our projects span a wide range of environments, including commercial offices, domestic properties, industrial sites, public buildings, healthcare, education, retail, and leisure, with contract values typically ranging from £50k to £2m. With the right training and support, you’ll progress to managing your own tenders and estimates.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop an understanding of technical designs and costing processes.

Assist in preparing tender documentation and supporting information.
*
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
*
Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.
Skills & Attributes:
*
Interest in the technical side of projects.
*
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
*
Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
*
Ideally working towards or holding a Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent).
