Job Description
A Trainee Quantity Surveyor is required to join a civil engineering contractor specialising in groundworks for housing developers.
Main duties will include:
* Assisting Senior QS with contract pricing (Target Cost)
* Assisting with subcontract liabilities/subcontract payments
* Assisting Senior QS with CVR reports (Cost/Value Reconciliation)
* Assisting Senior QS with AFP’s (Application For Payments)
* Producing quotations to the client as and when required
* Procurement of subcontractors, including subcontract enquiries and orders
* Analysing internal costs relative to project works, maximising value/minimising cost for the business
* Site visits as and when required
The role will suit someone at the begining of their career who is looking to gain experience and progress their career with a structured plan for development implemented.
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Previous experience of working in a construction or quantity surveying role or have recently achieved a construction based qualification.
* Be driven and ambitious and want to progress your career
* Have excellent communication skills.
Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon experience, up to £30,000 p.a including company vehicle and attractive benefits package
