JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for a Transport Manager. In this key role, you will be the primary point of contact for the Customer Operations team—investigating issues, liaising with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across fleet operations. Role profile:
* Improve the efficiency of the client’s fleet and drivers through effective planning and scheduling.
* Manage day-to-day deliveries for both internal and external fleets, ensuring agreed service levels are consistently achieved.
* Ensure full compliance with all relevant transport regulations and legal requirements.
* Lead, support, and motivate a team of drivers and office staff, ensuring deliveries are made on-time and in-full for our customers.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within transport operations and implement effective solutions.
Essential Criteria:
* CPC holder in Road Transport Operations (National or International).
* Proven experience within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of LGV fleet management and distribution.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrable leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
