Van Mobile Technical Supervisor – North London – FM Service Provider - Up to £48,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Van Mobile Technical Supervisor to join a well-established facilities management contract overseeing a large and complex portfolio within a critical public sector environment.
This role is ideal for a strong multi-skilled engineer with previous supervisory experience who is confident leading engineering teams, managing planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring high levels of compliance across multiple sites. The successful candidate will oversee a team of static and mobile engineers, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure within a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of static and mobile engineers
Ensure all PPM and reactive maintenance tasks are completed safely and within agreed timeframes
Manage day-to-day engineering operations across the contract
Monitor KPI and SLA performance across all maintenance activities
Act as the first point of escalation for technical and operational issues
Oversee subcontractors and specialist service providers on site
Ensure all statutory compliance and maintenance activities are completed
Maintain CAFM systems and ensure all engineering records are accurate and up to date
Support with incident reporting, audits, and compliance documentation
Assist with emergency response procedures and operational continuity planning
Ensure all RAMS, permits, and health & safety procedures are followed correctly
Carry out site inspections, compliance checks, and contractor audits
Support the Area Facilities Manager with operational reporting and team performance
Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Participate in on-call and emergency support arrangements where requiredRequirements
Qualified multi-skilled engineer with a recognised mechanical or electrical qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience within Facilities Management or Building Services
Previous experience supervising engineering teams within commercial or critical environments
Strong knowledge of building services maintenance and statutory compliance
Experience managing both planned and reactive maintenance activities
Good understanding of Health & Safety, SHEQ, and compliance procedures
Experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office packages
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work calmly and effectively within high-pressure environments
Commercial awareness and customer-focused approachEssential
