Van Technician – HGV Training Available (Optional Path)
📍 Radlett | 💰 £45,000 – £55,000 per year

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a well-established private independent garage in Radlett. They work across all vehicle types, offering a rare chance for an experienced Van Technician or Car Mechanic to join a stable, modern workshop with genuine long-term progression.

The standout feature of this role is flexibility: you can continue specialising in vans and cars, or take advantage of full training to progress into an HGV Technician career path—the choice is yours.

🔧 What’s on Offer

  * £45,000 – £55,000 per year

  * Optional progression into HGV Technician (fully supported training)

  * Or stay focused on cars and vans long-term

  * Overtime available to boost earnings

  * Supportive independent workshop environment

🕒 Working Hours

  * Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm

  * Every other Saturday: Half day

  * Optional early shift: 6:00am – 3:30pm

  * Overtime available if desired

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  * Servicing, maintenance and routine inspections of vehicles

  * Fault finding, diagnostics and repair work across cars and vans

  * Ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficient turnaround times

  * Recording work completed, parts used, and job details accurately

  * Managing tools, equipment, and ensuring vehicles are maintained safely

  * Following strict health & safety procedures at all times

  * Managing workload effectively to meet deadlines and workshop demands

👤 About You

  * Experience as a Van Technician, Car Mechanic or LGV Technician

  * Strong diagnostic and repair skills

  * Good attention to detail and ability to work independently

  * Full UK driving licence
