Overview:
Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Mobile Mechanic to work with a national fleet maintnence company. The position covers both on-site responsibilities and mobile support, delivering maintenance to keep vehicles safe, compliant and in peak operating condition.
What do I need?
* Proven track record in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair (minimum 3 years)
* Ability to demonstrate strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Competence in both planned and reactive maintenance environments
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles
* Diagnose mechanical issues and resolve faults quickly and effectively
* Remove, repair, and replace defective vehicle parts when necessary
* Prepare vehicles for roadworthiness inspections and MOT compliance
* Accurately complete service records, job sheets, and related documentation
* Liaise with parts departments to ensure timely ordering and stock availability
* Highlight any repair needs requiring specialist external attention
* Coordinate with operations teams to arrange vehicle service schedules
