Vehicle Technician

 We are acting on behalf of a reputable dealership to recruit a highly skilled Vehicle Service Technician for their busy service department in Loughton, Essex.

 This is an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking to enhance their career within a reputable automotive environment.

 The successful individual will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of vehicle maintenance tasks, including diagnostics, warranty work, and routine servicing, ensuring standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained at all times.

Competitive basic salary of £39,232 per annum, with an OTE of up to approximately £49,000 based on performance and productivity

Full-time hours of 45 per week, including weekend shifts on a rota basisDuties of a Vehicle Technician:

Perform routine vehicle servicing and repairs, including oil changes, brake inspections, cambelt replacements, and general maintenance
Carry out diagnostic work using electronic tools to identify faults accurately
Complete digital write-ups, job cards, and electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) efficiently and accurately
Follow manufacturer procedures, safety policies, and quality standards to ensure compliance
Maintain high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction through exceptional workmanship
Contribute to a team environment by sharing expertise and supporting colleagues as neededRequirements of a Vehicle Technician:

recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Technician, ideally with exposure to warranty and servicing operations
Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostic procedures
familiarity with electronic vehicle health checks is advantageous
MOT licence is a plus; full training will be provided for individuals without this qualification
