Job Description

Our client, a reputable franchised main dealer group in Canterbury, Kent, is seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional looking to develop their career within a well-established dealership. The Vehicle Technician role offers a supportive working environment, excellent earning potential, and ongoing professional development.

Benefits:

Competitive basic salary up to £38,000, negotiable based on experience
Monthly bonus scheme with a minimum guaranteed bonus for the first 12 months, OTE £43,000
Fully paid overtime for Saturday shifts
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with 30 minutes lunch
1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Full manufacturer training and ongoing development programmes

Conduct servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance to high standards
Perform diagnostics and fault finding on a range of passenger and commercial vehicles
Complete work within specified timeframes ensuring quality workmanship
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out on vehicles
Participate in manufacturer training sessions and skill development courses
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols
Assist colleagues as required to sustain workshop efficiencyRequirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Engineer within the automotive retail sector
Full UK driving licence
MOT Testing licence is advantageous but not essential
Strong diagnostic and repair capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Proactive attitude with a commitment to ongoing learning
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
