Job Description
Role Overview
The Warehouse & Logistics Operative will support the smooth running of warehouse operations including goods-in, goods-out, stock management, and general logistics tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of inventory control and material handling.
Key Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality.

Process goods-out including picking, packing, labelling, and dispatching orders.
*
Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory management systems.
*
Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts, and manage stock levels to prevent shortages.
*
Organise and store materials safely and efficiently, ensuring correct stock location control.
*
Prepare materials and components for production teams or external customers.
*
Coordinate logistics activities including booking couriers, arranging shipments, and completing dispatch paperwork.
*
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks — training can be provided if required).
*
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.
Skills & Experience
*
Previous warehouse or logistics experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*
Strong understanding of goods-in/goods-out processes.
*
Experience with inventory systems, stock control, and material handling.
*
Ability to read basic technical labels, part numbers, and engineering/component descriptions.
*
