Water Hygiene Service Engineer

📍 Location: Central London

Our client, a leading specialist in water treatment and compliance, is looking to expand their engineering team with an experienced Water Hygiene Service Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong understanding of L8 compliance and water hygiene practices. You’ll be joining a team of experienced plumbers and technicians, supporting a wide range of commercial and domestic sites.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Manage and prioritise your own workload effectively to meet client and compliance requirements.

  * 

    Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of domestic water systems, including fault diagnosis and remediation (e.g. TMV faults, non-compliant temperatures).

  * 

    Undertake a full range of L8 compliance activities, including:

      * 

        TMV servicing

      * 

        Temperature monitoring

      * 

        Cold water storage tank inspections

      * 

        Showerhead disinfection and descaling

      * 

        Water sampling

      * 

        Calorifier servicing

      * 

        Identifying and rectifying non-compliant temperatures

  * 

    Carry out closed system analytical testing, as well as cleaning and disinfection of cold-water storage tanks.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  * 

    Recognised plumbing qualification to Level 2 (NVQ Level 2 preferred).

  * 

    Strong technical knowledge of domestic systems, with hands-on experience in remediation (e.g. fault diagnosis, dead leg removal, tank installations, and general plumbing work).

  * 

    Excellent understanding of L8 compliance and associated activities.

  * 

    Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

  * 

    Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with managers and clients.
