Job Title: Welding Inspector Location: Stanley Shifts: Dayshift (Early finish on a Friday) Salary: D.OE Job Summary: Theo James is delighted to be partnering with Dyer Engineering in our search for their next Welding Inspector. Join their dynamic team at a leading metal components manufacturer specialising in the aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, and defence industries. We are actively seeking a Welding Inspector who is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of precision and quality in our production processes. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct visual inspections of welded structures to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry standards. • Perform dye pen and chemi inspections (NPI) on welded structures to identify any defects or flaws in the welding process. • Conduct MPI inspections on welded structures (preferably). • Interpret and understand technical drawings and welding symbols. • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and industry standards. • Provide reports detailing inspection results and any necessary corrective actions. • Communicate effectively with welding teams to provide guidance on welding techniques and practices. Requirements: • C-Swip 3.0 & 3.1 certified (Visual Welding Inspection). • Several years of stable experience in a welding inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Dye Pen and Chemi trained (NPI). • MPI trained (preferably). • Understanding of technical drawings and welding symbols. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or flaws in welding processes. • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
